• HCKC Pool Session Guidelines

• 1.      Each session will have a designated Event Sponsor to oversee the session.
• 2.      All sessions will be posted on the Wild Apricot calendar with maximum number of participants listed.
• The sessions will be self-practice. Participants are encouraged to help each other with skills and rolling. 
• 4.      All participants must:
• a.      Register on our website up to 6 hours before the beginning of the session
• b.      Payment for session is  on our website prior to the session
• c.      Must have an annual HCKC waiver on file
• d.      Must sign into pool session at the front desk and sign the facility waiver
• e.      Family Membership: Each adult is responsible for the $25 fee however, a member child <18 can attend with the parent at no charge. Waivers for all attendees required.
• f.        Refunds are not available once session is closed the day of the event
• 5.      Event Sponsor
• a.      Prior to pool session, check signups, membership and waiver
• b.      Send participant list to Butler
• c.      Arrive 20 min early and oversee boats being brought into the facility
• d.      Act as liaison between HCKC and Facility to troubleshoot any issues
• e.      Report to the Board Pool Committee any issues / concerns that arise at a pool session
• 6.      Guidelines for participant
• a.      Be aware of other participants in the water both for safety as well as consideration so that everyone has a safe, fun experience

• b.      Be a good partner to Butler Pool by having a clean boat, parking in designated areas, exiting the pool at indicated time, and following facility procedures.
• c.  For safety, there will be no recreational swimming allowed during the session.

Getting the boats to the pool entrance: 2 Options

1. Drive to pool entrance for kayaks - Follow Red Line: Turn into parking lot on 52nd street. Proceed through the parking lot. The gate should be open. Follow narrow road to back of Hinkle Fieldhouse. The service road approaching the pool door becomes a dead-end and one lane road. Pull off to the left where you can still turn around, unload boat, carry to grass outside the pool entrance X. Turn around, drive back to the Visitor Parking and enter the building at the Blue X. Sign in at the Main desk.

2. Park in the Visitor Lot VP Carry or Wheel your kayak to the pool deck entrance X following the Yellow Line and drop your boat off. Enter the building and proceed to the Main Desk to sign in.
