The Vermillion River mostly flows through Illinois (where it is spelled Vermilion), but the last section travels through Indiana and flows into the Wabash. This trip is around 9.3 miles total, with about the last mile actually on the Wabash River. It should be generally an easy paddle, but there is the possibility of portaging around fallen trees.
Meet at 9:45 am at Osanamon Public Access, 1509 W County Rd 775 N, Cayuga, IN. The take out will be Waterman Public Access, on the East side of the State Road 234 bridge over the Wabash.
Please register or otherwise let me know if you plan on attending. If it seems like the level will be too low for an enjoyable paddle, I will change to a trip of about 14.5 miles entirely on the Wabash from Covington to Waterman Public Access. There will be a confirmation/cancellation email sent out Friday June 19 evening.

If you have not done so for this year, PLEASE FILL OUT THE NEW E-WAIVER. HCKC is moving to a new electronic waiver system instead of our old paper waiver. This only needs to be completed once each year. If you have already submitted your e-waiver, you do not need to do it again until next year. If you are bringing a non-member guest, they should use this e-waiver.
