For those of you that don’t know me this is my home river. I guided here professionally for 5 years of my career on the water. And have a total of ten years guiding rafts.

We will be camping at Firefox campground as the pigeon river campground will not be up until 2026 now.

I would love to have some more people out here with their families. 

I would be leading a lower pigeon trip. This is family friendly whitewater ages 3+ in a raft, or with an experienced boater.
This is comparable to the elkhorn/lower nanty/nantahala in intensity.

The upper is a class 3, with many sneak lines. The water has changed in lines due to the flooding, creating new features at lost guide. I would class this for experienced boaters this is a step up from the big south fork canyon, or upper nanty. I would recommend a solid roll for the upper.

I am considering doing a river float as well if people want to bring floats to cruise between outposts.

This area is close to a lot of great food. Close by is the bean tree, apple barn, and my personal favorite Janice’s. 

We would be renting out the back half of the campground ideally, and this is the take out for the upper pigeon as well as the put in for the lower
