Time: 10:00AM
SPONSOR: Robert Moore
This year we will launch at Egypt Hollow and plan to paddle south. Options include paddling east into Mounds SRA, west fork or south to the dam. Egypt Hollow is located between the two causeways near Everton and accessed from the west side of the lake. By water, the distance from the ramp to the dam is about 5.5 miles. This is the open water section of the lake. Sea kayaks with spray skirts and water tight bulkheads are required. Brookville Lake is a 5260-acre lake managed by the Army Corps of Engineers and Indiana Department of Natural Resources for flood control and recreation. A detailed description of the lake can be found on line. http://www.in.gov/dnr/parklake/files/brookville_trail.pdf
