Schedule: Arrive Thursday evening and unload “ONCE” for the weekend. Paddle / train all day Friday and Saturday, check out Sunday then paddle / train half day. Remember – Dave is cooking up some great trips in the area during the week preceding this training !

Equipment Requirement: ≥14’ Sea Kayak, spray skirt, appropriate gear, clothing and safety equipment for a variety of weather, air and water temperatures.
Skill Requirement: Wet exit, rescue (self & assist) confident boat control in mild wind and wave conditions are the minimum. The North Edisto Inlet provides multiple venues to include ocean surf, bouncy waves, river crossings. Training will be incorporated into touring with distances of 5 -10 miles daily anticipated. While this isn’t designed for people who are brand new to kayaking, you do not need to be an expert or an ocean paddler
Camp St. Christopher has over 314 acres of beach, maritime forest and undisturbed salt marsh and is located on Seabrook Island. It is a secluded quiet summer camp property. Lodging includes Air-conditioned rooms, warm showers, and breakfasts. Due to the close proximity to the ocean, we will have easy evening walks on the beach. There is no light pollution, so it is a perfect spot for star gazing! Just a short drive to some local restaurants and we can enjoy an evening campfire near the dunes. http://stchristopher.org/
