There is a beginner's trip on June 24-25th on the Tuckasegee and Nantahala near Bryson City, North Carolina. This trip has been well received every year and all have had a great time. It will be Section 3 of the Tuck on Saturday and the Nantahala on Sunday or Nantahala both days depending on the group.  Both of these rivers are good for Whitewater paddling beginners. Both of the rivers have areas that can be portaged or avoided if necessary.
